Helios began when Dick Swettenham was an engineer at a U.K. recording studio. They needed to build a new console so be began building one. Word got around and he formed a company to manufacture these unique consoles for all sorts of recording studios worldwide. Each Helios console was highly customized and are still prized by their owners to this day.
